Mimosa pudica is most commonly propagated from seeds. Soak the seeds in warm water for several hours before sowing to soften their outer coating and encourage germination. Plant them about 0.5–1 cm deep in a well-draining, moist growing medium. Keep the container in a warm location with bright, indirect sunlight. Germination may occur within one to three weeks under suitable conditions. Once seedlings develop several healthy leaves, they can be transplanted carefully into individual pots.
