I think I got scammed and I’m pretty annoyed about it. Bought what looked like a genuine Mercedes battery from a shop in Sharjah about 10 months ago. It had the Mercedes logo, the right part number, everything looked legit. Fast forward to last week and the car wouldn’t start. Took it to a proper garage and the guy showed me that the battery was actually a cheap generic one with a fake sticker on it. The weight was wrong, the terminals were slightly different, and the date code didn’t match the label. He said this is super common here because Mercedes batteries are expensive so people try to pass off fakes. Now I’m paranoid about buying another one. I’m looking for a Trusted Mercedes Battery Supplier Dubai because I don’t want to go through this again. How do you guys verify that you’re getting a genuine battery? Are there specific signs to look for? Is it safer to just buy from the dealer even though it’s twice the price? I’d rather pay more than get ripped off again but maybe there are honest suppliers out there. Any tips would be really appreciated.
