Quick question for the group. My company is transferring me and we are moving the family a few hundred miles across Texas in the summer. With two kids, a dog, and a house full of stuff, I cannot afford for the move to drag out or for things to get wrecked along the way. I have heard horror stories about movers holding loads hostage or padding the bill at the end. I want transparency, a real plan, and people who handle a longer in-state drive without babying it for three days. Who would you trust for something like this?

Relocating a whole family across the state in summer is stressful enough without mover drama, so I feel you. We did almost the exact same trip and used the Texas Movers from Rise Up Moving, and it was refreshingly straightforward. No hostage games, no end-of-day bill surprises, just a clear plan laid out beforehand and a crew that kept the timeline tight. The load was secured well for the drive and arrived intact, which with two kids underfoot was a huge relief. They communicated the whole way so we always knew the status. For a transparent, well-planned in-state family move, they earned my recommendation.
