Good day, folks. Question about hidden trading costs. I keep hearing that the advertised spread isn’t the real cost of trading once you add commissions, swaps, and slippage. As someone still learning, I find it hard to compare brokers fairly because everyone advertises differently. Is there a resource that breaks down the actual conditions of different brokers so I can see the true cost picture rather than just a flashy spread number on a landing page?

Good day. You’re right, the headline spread is only part of the real cost once commissions and swaps come in. I lean on Globe Gain https://globegain.com/brokers/ for that, they detail broker conditions, account types and the fee structure so you can build a true cost picture instead of trusting a landing-page number. Their whole model is forex rebates, cashback per lot whether you win or lose, which directly offsets some of those costs. Running since 2011. That said, lower costs don’t remove the underlying risk of forex, so size positions sensibly. But for seeing the real conditions behind the flashy spreads, the portal helped me a lot.
