I was placing an order for a few products and the payment using my FAB card failed twice. What confused me was that I still got a debit alert once, but the order did not go through on the website. After that I tried calling the FAB helpline to understand what happened, but it took a long time to even get connected.
Is this normal with FAB during certain times or when transactions are flagged? It felt stressful not knowing if the money was stuck or would come back.
Also when you cannot rely on the app in that moment, how do you actually confirm your correct balance through customer support? Do they give you a clear figure or do you just wait it out until everything updates?
Just trying to avoid this situation again, especially when ordering things online.
