ParticipantMissing a Flow Controller in Arc Raiders usually isn’t bad luck alone; it’s often a bad first stop. On Stella Montis, my best opening route starts in the upper Lobby, where the circular sofas on Level 3 can hide the item in plain sight. Keep an eye on the nearby Security Checkpoint while checking the ARC Raiders Items, because this small piece of loot may appear beside furniture rather than inside the large containers you instinctively search first. The spawn is variable, another raider may arrive ahead of you, and no single seat should be treated as a guaranteed result.
The Level 3 Sweep That Saves Time
Enter Stella Montis and push toward the Lobby instead of wandering through Medical Research immediately. Once you reach Level 3, slow down for ten seconds and inspect every circular sofa, the floor around each seat, and the edges of nearby objects. Indoor lighting makes compact quest items easy to miss, especially during a rushed opening fight. After the seating area, work toward the Security Checkpoint and check its containers from multiple angles. A fast loot pass is fine for common materials, but the Flow Controller deserves a deliberate visual sweep.
Do This, Not That
Do check the sofas and their surrounding floor before opening every random container.
Do search the Security Checkpoint before crossing to another wing.
Don’t assume an empty room means the item failed to appear; another raider may have taken it.
Don’t burn the whole raid on one room after the Lobby has already been stripped.
Leave inventory space for the Flow Controller, a Magnetron, documents, and other quest items.Backup Route: Assembly First, Medical Research Second
When the Lobby gives you nothing, rotate to Assembly Workshops and check the upper floor before dropping the area from your plan. Players often clear the lower rooms, see empty containers, and leave without checking the upstairs section. Medical Research is a sensible second fallback, particularly if the route remains quiet. From what I’ve seen, this order gives you more useful checks per minute than running a full Stella Montis loop with no route in mind. It also reduces the chance that you arrive at the extract with nothing but low-value loot and a half-finished quest.
Which Search Route Fits the Raid
Raid situation First check Next move
Fresh arrival Level 3 sofas Security Checkpoint
Lobby already looted Assembly upper floor Medical Research
Night Raid Lobby with slower inspection Rotate early if visibility is poor
Flow Controller secured Avoid extra fights Extract safelyPair It With Snap and Salvage
The Flow Controller is commonly tied to the Snap and Salvage quest on Stella Montis, so a focused raid can cover several tasks at once. Plan the route around the rover in the Sandbox for the photograph, the Security Checkpoint for documents, and the Lobby for the Flow Controller. That route won’t always be clean: another squad may contest the same rooms, and ARC threats can turn a simple loot run into a loud fight. Still, combining objectives gives the drop more value than making separate attempts for every task. If the controller lands in your bag, shift from greed to survival and take the safest available extraction path.
The Mistake Most Players Make
The biggest error is treating old location advice as a fixed spawn chart. Medical Research and Assembly Workshops remain useful checks, but they shouldn’t replace the Level 3 Lobby search. A Night Raid also changes visibility and encounter pressure, not the odds of a guaranteed item sitting in one special spot. I could be wrong but, in my runs, the better mindset is to treat Stella Montis as a priority route with several possible loot points: start high, inspect carefully, rotate with purpose, and leave once the quest item is secure. For players who want a quick reference for ARC Raiders Materials for sale, the practical answer is still the same: check the Stella Montis Lobby first, then Assembly and Medical Research before risking a needless extra fight.
